Every child here is growing in three directions at once: physically, emotionally, and cognitively. The programs are built around age groups, so the room fits the child rather than the other way around. Timieka Maloney, the founder and director, started EduCare Hub because families needed dependable support, especially during non-traditional hours when good care can be hardest to find.
A room for young children is arranged so they can reach what they need and see what is happening. Low shelves, clear pathways, a place to rest, and space to work on a project with both hands. The day moves in a rhythm of active stretches and quieter ones. STEAM learning, hands-on enrichment, and creative development run through it. Children settle in, eat, relax, and get transported safely.
What visitors notice first is the calm: children finishing breakfast without hurry, teachers sitting at eye level. What a day looks like
Mornings start slowly. Children come in, put their things away, and settle at the table for breakfast and quiet rest. Teachers sit with them and talk about the day ahead. Then children ride to school with a referred transportation provider, so parents can leave for work knowing the morning is handled.
During the day at the Hub, children move between supervised activities, hands-on enrichment, and rest. Meals come at regular times, and there is real space to play. Teachers keep groups small enough to notice who is quiet and who needs a nudge, and they build the afternoon around what children are ready for.
After school, children are picked up and come back for a healthy snack, homework help, and enrichment activities. Dinner is served before the day ends, which means a parent arriving after work hears about the day instead of rushing to cook. Pickup is calm, with a teacher who can tell you how your child ate, played, and settled.
How we work with families
At pickup, a teacher tells you how the day went: what your child ate, played, and worked on. If you have a question about a morning transition or a friendship, ask then or call the Hub later. We would rather hear it early than have you wonder.
The first weeks are planned so a new child is not dropped into a full day at once. We ask about your child's routine at home and build the first days around it. Parents can call to check in, and teachers share what they notice as your child settles. If something is not working, we change it.

Tour the room
Come see the classroom your child would join and meet the teachers who run it. Bring your child; you will know more in ten minutes here than from any brochure.

Enroll and settle in
Complete the enrollment forms, then plan a first week that suits your child's routine. We will tell you what to pack and when to start.

What should my child bring on the first day?
For a first day, families usually pack a change of clothes, a comfort item for rest, and anything your child needs for the weather. Label everything with your child's name. We will tell you what else the room keeps on hand.
Do you offer part-time or flexible schedules?
Schedules vary by age group and what openings we have right now. Call us and we will tell you what is available for your child.
What if there is no place right now?
You can ask to be contacted when a place opens for your child's age group. We will add your name and reach out when something comes up.
